Bidfood Australia is seeking an Events & Office Co-Ordinator, based at our Sales & Innovation Hub in Collingwood, to manage events and keep the office operating seamlessly. This is an exciting opportunity to kick-start or advance your career in event management with one of Australia's leading foodservice distributors. You'll play a key role in supporting national events and ensuring our hubs are welcoming, professional and ready for action.

About the role

Reporting to the General Manager Marketing & Events, this position provides hands-on support to the National Sales team and internal managers at Bidfood's Sales & Innovation Hubs. You'll manage the event calendar, coordinate suppliers and attendees, and keep our hubs running like clockwork.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the event calendar for our Melbourne and Sydney hubs
  • Liaising with suppliers and customers to organise events
  • Coordinating invites, attendee lists and stakeholder communications
  • Looking after general housekeeping at the hubs, including ordering office supplies
  • Organising the end-to-end process of industry trade shows and exhibitions
  • Supporting the local admin team with ad-hoc tasks when required

Skills and experience

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

  • A Police Clearance Certificate
  • Event management or hospitality experience (conferences and trade shows highly regarded)
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A proactive, self-driven mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Aptitude for computer systems and the willingness to learn new platforms quickly
  • Professional presentation and the ability to represent Bidfood confidently

About Gipps Street Social and Bidfood Support Services

This role is based at Gipps Street Social, our vibrant Collingwood office and function space that also houses Bidfood's National Sales Team. You'll be working alongside a friendly and supportive group of people in a venue designed for both work and events.
