The European is a well renowned hospitality business located in Spring Street, Melbourne.  We are looking for a part time Reservation and Events Administrator who loves hospitality as much as we do and has a strong understanding of our industry. You will be working with a great friendly team in our Spring Street office and the position would suit someone looking for flexibility to match their work life balance.

About the Role:

  • Act as the initial point of contact for the business across a diverse group of venues
  • Answering incoming calls and taking reservations for the City Wine Shop, European and Kafeneion and directing callers to the appropriate departments.
  • Responding to reservation emails for the restaurant and event enquiries.
  • Working closely with the event managers and assisting in daily tasks to ensure smooth running of the events department.

  • Experience in a similar role and/or the hospitality industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An excellent phone manner
  • A genuine passion for customer service
  • Organised & skilled in office administration tasks.
  • Enthusiasm & commitment towards the business and service industry.
  • The ability to handle numerous tasks at any given time while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent team player

  • Recognise timeframes, prioritise and show a sense of urgency in meeting deadlines.

  • Experience using Open table, Ivvy, MS Office suite and Bepoz (preferable but not essential)
