Intellect Systems is seeking a motivated Procurement Officer to join our Manufacturing team at our Canning Vale facility on a full-time basis. About the Role

  • Manage the full procurement function in line with internal processes and procedures.
  • Forecast supply and demand requirements to ensure timely availability of stock and consumables.
  • Generate purchase orders, process goods receipting, and oversee transfers of stock.
  • Maintain accurate information in the stock management system and process system transactions to correct stock balances.
  • Develop and implement inventory control systems, cost-reduction strategies, and long-lead procurement planning.
  • Identify, evaluate, select, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers; negotiate bulk and preferred pricing structures.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement improvements or dispute procedures as required.
  • Prepare procurement, consumables, and stock reports; support cashflow forecasting.
  • Assist with policy, procedure, and work instruction development for procurement.
  • Contribute to other finance-related tasks and support a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

About You

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar procurement, supply chain or inventory management role.
  • Proven experience in procurement management, supplier negotiations, and contract administration.
  • Knowledge of procurement regulations, best practice, and procurement software.
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deliver accurate outcomes under time constraints.
  • High-level analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration and negotiation abilities; able to work with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and stock/procurement systems.
  • Knowledge of technical, mechanical, and engineering terms advantageous.
  • Degree or Diploma in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain or a related discipline (desirable but not mandatory).
  • Demonstrated training or certification in procurement practices will be well regarded.
