As Sales Applications Manager, you are an ambassador of Waters and will bring to the market Waters' products and services. You will demonstrate a clear grasp of understanding the customers' business and its growth plans, as well as be able to take the knowledge and convert that into a solution and offering from Waters, with a primary aim of bringing "customer success". This position brings you a great degree of flexibility working in the field, focusing mainly on Mass Spectrometry.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Applications Support chemists guaranteeing successful demonstrations, training courses for customers, technical product presentations and applications support
- Presentation of Waters LC-MS Products and applications to customers and marketing events for different market segments like Pharma, Biopharma, BMR and Food&Environmental
- Responsible for supporting account managers in sales of Mass Spectrometry instruments, with responsibility for the ANZ overall MS budget
- Preparing business and territory plans to find new customers and create new sales opportunities
- Planning and execution of customer pre-sales demonstrations and post-sales applications training
- Managing the Sydney demonstration laboratory
- Support sales team for MS system configurations
- Work closely with Business partners and Field Sales operations to provide credible and impartial consultancy and technical sponsor in a fast paced pre- and post sales environment.
- Collaborate with the team of Account Managers in diagnosing the customer's requirements, and design analysis that showcase the better capabilities of Waters product portfolio in line with the customers' goals.
- Perform instrument demonstrations and provide expert advice to customers during the sales process, focusing on how Waters system solutions will address and benefit the customer's needs.
- Ensure that the equipment, analysis and customer demonstrations are properly prepared, in order to guarantee the highest level of customer experience in a timely manner.
- Perform system and application training as well as technical sponsor to customers after the product has been installed.
- Conduct internal Waters Solutions Training to Field Sales Operations
Qualifications
Education:
- Masters Degree, or PhD in scientific area such as chemistry, biology, or biochemistry
Experience:
- 7+ years user experience with UPLC, Mass Spec and analytical instruments
- 3+ years of experience in selling and applications knowledge on Mass Spectrometry
Skills:
- Experience in People Management
- Action oriented and eager to achieve results
- Sound communication and presentation skills
- Highly organized / well-prepared / time management skills
- Strong interactive skills and a good listener
- Matured disposition, positive attitude and strong sense of dedication
- Adaptive to a dynamic and ever-changing environment
- Strong technical background in analytical technologies, especially LC and MS
