The Role:
This is a unique opportunity to have a real impact, chasing profitable growth and to reap the rewards. You would be part of a legacy that will endure for generations to come. You'll be expected to use, and expand on, your existing network within the relevant sectors and industries to uncover leads, or to capitalise on opportunities as they present (which they do regularly) The business is focused on growth, and your success in this role will create opportunities to enable further expansion. The Business Development Manager will drive new account penetration through creative and effective strategies with strong underlying delivery plans. You will be working with senior management and technical teams to devise solutions that delight the customer and add value to organisations.

Naturally, you will need to show that you can influence outcomes by engaging at all levels – those who develop the product, those who evaluate it technically, those who make a final decision to purchase. Obviously, your communications skills, both written and verbal, and your analytical and reporting abilities must be well-developed as you take responsibility for presentations to clients, stakeholders and industry participants.

You:
Ideally you will bring an existing network within a number of industry sectors, so we think you'll already have a track record in the A&D space as a BDM for us to see. We don't at all mind what construction products you are currently selling but a knowledge of the relevant project process will be well regarded. What sets you apart is that combination of relationship building skills with action orientation, high energy levels and the drive to excel. You want to be successful, and you put in the hard yards to ensure that happens. You are that special mix of 'hunter and farmer' that enjoys winning and building business, managing clients, and ensuring their needs are met every step of the way. What sets you apart is your natural ability to connect with clients as part of account management or penetration plan.
