We currently have a vacancy for a Territory Manager which is a professional sales position whose primary objective is the promotion and sales of the Bausch + Lomb contact lens portfolio. This role will partner with both Independant and Key Account Optometrists in one of our NSW South & West territory to help achieve mutually beneficial objectives by leveraging produce solutions that address the needs of the patient and the practice.

About the role:

  • Promoting and selling Bausch + Lomb contact lens portfolio by direct customer liaison at all levels within optometry practices.
  • Achieve sales target for designated territory.
  • Planned territory management based on the evaluation of current & potential commercial customer value.
  • Building customer business plans to deliver customer value.
  • Analyse sales trends and, in consultation with sales leadership, adjust activities in order to achieve planned objectives.
  • Delivering relevant product marketing messages, overcoming objections, side by side comparative selling and taking direct customer orders.
  • Appropriate allocation and placement of point-of-sale material to support sales and marketing objectives.
  • Provide field clinical support in designated territory.
  • Represent the Bausch + Lomb business through attending meetings, trade displays and conferences with the objective of maintaining and expanding the company's customer base.
  • Effectively manage the territory with respect to cost effective travel, and time and expense management toward optimisation of key customer contacts.
  • Plan and record sales/business activities and customer feedback through the customer relationship management system – Veeva.

Knowledge and Skills (include experience and qualifications)

  • A proven track record of successful B2B sales experience in medical device / healthcare sales (minimum 3 years).
  • Tertiary qualification in related discipline preferred.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and exhibits positive and constructive attitude.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to anticipate, understand, prioritize and meet customer needs.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, teamwork and workload planning skills.
  • High aptitude for financial analysis and assimilation of complex information.
  • Able to effectively utilise Microsoft Office suite of products and standard digital technology tools.
  • Demonstrated experience achieving monthly, quarterly and annual sales budgets.

Candidates must:

  • Have a motor vehicle and a valid driver's license.
  • Be able to do regional travel 6-8 weeks.
  • Be available for occasional work outside of business hours to attend meetings, trade shows or conferences.
