We are seeking a People & Culture Business Partner to act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to leaders across the business. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping culture, engagement and performance, while ensuring compliance with company policies and the Fair Work Act.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Sydney, offering a supportive and collaborative environment with hybrid work flexibility after initial onboarding.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, the P&C Business Partner will provide both strategic and operational HR support across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. You will work closely with managers and employees to build capability, drive engagement, and lead initiatives that foster a positive, high-performing workplace culture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Build trusted, influential relationships with leaders across all levels of the business.
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations, performance, engagement, capability development and organisational change.
  • Manage complex ER cases including investigations, grievances, performance and conduct issues, and terminations.
  • Partner with leaders during restructures, workforce planning and organisational design, ensuring compliance with consultation and legislative obligations.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, wellbeing and retention.
  • Provide sound advice on Fair Work Act compliance, policy interpretation and HR best practice.
  • Analyse people data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with the broader P&C team on people projects, policy development and continuous improvement.
  • Support cyclical HR activities such as performance reviews, talent discussions and engagement programs.

About You

You're an experienced HR professional with strong business partnering and employee relations capability, who enjoys balancing strategy with hands-on delivery.

You will bring:

  • 5+ years' HR experience, ideally within both blue- and white-collar environments.
  • Proven success managing complex ER matters, restructures and change initiatives.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards and contemporary HR practices.
  • Excellent relationship-building, influencing and coaching skills.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business goals into actionable people solutions.
  • High attention to detail, analytical mindset and comfort working with data insights.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.
