We're looking for a passionate and analytical Billing Officer to join our team in Sydney, on a 6-month contract.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the timely validation, reconciliation, and resolution of carrier invoices, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while contributing to smooth billing operations and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate and reconcile carrier invoices and rates against contractual agreements in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage major customer portfolios, ensuring all charges are accurate, complete, and processed on schedule.
  • Lodge and track claims with carriers, following through to resolution.
  • Ensure the completeness and integrity of all received and processed invoices.
  • Proactively engage with internal and external stakeholders to investigate and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Identify and implement long-term solutions to recurring billing issues.
  • Provide support to the broader billing team and contribute to continuous process improvements as needed.

Key Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g. formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Proven ability to analyze data and think critically to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Demonstrated strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
  • Billing experience is a must
