Role Description:

The Assistant Project Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of projects to ensure timely and successful delivery. Working closely with the Project Manager and cross-functional teams, this position helps manage schedules, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with strong communication and problem-solving skills to navigate dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Key responsibilities include assisting in project planning, scheduling, and documentation, as well as tracking milestones, deliverables, and performance metrics. You will coordinate meetings, prepare project status reports, and maintain clear communication between internal teams, vendors, and clients. The Assistant Project Manager also helps manage procurement processes, monitor budget expenditures, and identify potential risks or delays, ensuring that projects remain aligned with scope, timeline, and quality objectives.

This role involves supporting quality assurance, compliance checks, and process improvement initiatives. You will contribute to project proposals, resource planning, and post-project evaluations to enhance operational efficiency and strategic alignment. By providing administrative and analytical support, you will help streamline execution and promote collaboration across departments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in project coordination, project support, or similar roles.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) and lifecycle stages.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Asana, Smartsheet, Trello, or Jira.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to accuracy and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify challenges, assess risks, and propose practical solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience in budgeting, cost tracking, or resource allocation is a plus.
  • Strong sense of accountability, initiative, and commitment to project success.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting team goals and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Professional certification such as
    CAPM

    PRINCE2 Foundation
    , or
    PMP (in progress)
