Thorne & Associates is a CPA tax accounting firm located in Norwest. We are seeking a part-time reception/office administration assistant for 2 to 3 days a week (being able to cover holidays for the office manager). This is a great opportunity for a proactive and enthusiastic person who is looking to grow their skills in accounting administration to join our firm.

Requirements for the role:

  • Previous experience in reception and/or administrative role, desirable

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Confident using Microsoft Office and learning new software systems

  • Proven ability to prioritise tasks and work independently

  • A willingness to perform ad-hoc duties as needed

  • Enjoy supporting and working as part of a team in a fast paced environment

Key responsibilities:

  • General administrative support: answering phones, managing emails, mail collection and client correspondence

  • Liaising with the ATO

  • Assist with managing ASIC corporate secretarial documents and compliance

  • Preparation of covering letters, invoices and electronic delivery of financial statements and Income Tax Returns for business clients

  • Data entry and ongoing records maintenance

  • Other ad-hoc duties as required
