As our new **Portfolio Delivery Manager**, you will be responsible for overseeing numerous projects while working closely with DM’s, project sponsors and project teams to oversee the delivery of project work on behalf of Enterprise Services at Australia Post.
**What you’ll deliver with us**
- Establish and manage the portfolio of projects and programs ensuring they are delivered on time to agreed commitments, budget and with the professional quality expected and add value and deliver benefits to the business.
- Ensure that programs are managed to realise business benefits and that program management is informed by an awareness of current technical developments.
- Review the progress of each program / project within the Portfolio and ensure the change of requirements, dependencies, milestones, risks, issues, and priorities are effectively managed and / or appropriately mitigated.
- Assess the program to ensure projects are viable and will meet defined business benefits.
- Manage conflicts and dependencies between projects as required.
- Proactively identify and manage the required outcome of potential risks and opportunities.
- Feed into an effective demand management function to ensure demand is balanced against current and future capability.
- Ensure effective resource management is undertaken so that projects and programs are resourced with the required expertise (internal or external) and effective business change management is undertaken (training, communications, process and organisation design)
- Act as a point of escalation for the programs and projects, ensuring collaboration of any required parties lead to successful outcomes and issues and risks mitigation.
- Ensure all projects follow the necessary governance and delivery frameworks.
- Contribute to post implementation reviews to incorporate learnings into future programs of work.
- Maintain awareness of current Information Security standards and ensure all activities comply with the standards.
- Demonstrate sufficient consideration of customer needs and customer experience targets, as driven by business requirements.
**You’ll need**
- Strong experience of project delivery strategies, tools, methodologies
- Previous experience in the retail and/or transport & logistics industry
- Experience managing several projects simultaneously from conception to implementation and realisation of program objectives.
- Experience building and leading a multi-disciplinary program team (e.g. business, IT, project, vendors).
- Previous experience working with senior management stakeholders, and able to confidently interact with C level and GM stakeholders.
- Strong planning and prioritisation skills.
- People management experience.
- Tech project management background.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
