**About the Role**

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee the safe and successful delivery of events at CENTREPIECE at Melbourne and Olympic Parks. This hands-on role requires leadership, event planning, safety management, and customer experience expertise. You’ll lead a team, supervise event set-ups, and deliver exceptional events while ensuring the safety and operational standards of the venue are met.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Team Training & Supervision**: Lead and develop our casual operations team, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently. Provide on-the-job training and feedback.

**Event Planning & Delivery**: Oversee the logistics and crewing for event delivery, contribute to planning, maintain high venue presentation standards, manage FF&E inventories, and assist clients with their event needs.

**Leadership & Development**:Supervise a diverse team on event and house days, demonstrating effective leadership strategies, while setting personal and team development goals to enhance skills and knowledge across departments.

**Collaboration & Relationships**:Foster strong relationships with clients, as well as event leaders and venue teams across the precinct, ensuring their needs are met and event operations are smooth. Communicate effectively with on-site trades and collaborate with fellow supervisors for efficient task completion.

**Risk & Safety Management**: Drive an ongoing focus on safety standards, ensuring all team members are aware of and are compliant with venue safety regulations and procedures.

- Knowledge of safety work practices and regulations.
- Familiarity with large-scale events, staging, rigging, and audio-visual setups.
