About the Role:

As the Operations Supervisor, you will utilise your strong understanding of operations within the transportation and logistics industry to express your capabilities and improve the Station's performance. You will leverage technology to make data-driven decisions and uphold safety, compliance, and efficiency practices.

In this role, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for building strong relationships with your team, Delivery Partners, and the Station Manager. You will support the Station Manager in achieving operational and financial objectives, contributing to the station's overall success.

Additionally, you will provide leadership and training to the Station team, helping them develop their skills and ensure a high-performing environment. You will oversee Dragonfly's parcel lifecycle returns, driver bookings, and route optimisation, ensuring that safety standards, quality service, and Dragonfly's core values are consistently maintained.

Schedule: 4:00 pm – 2:00 am, Wednesday - Saturday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Station Manager and Senior Operations Supervisors to contribute to continuously developing and refining processes and procedures, ensuring the station operates optimally while meeting company standards.

  • Oversee all operational activities related to parcel returns, driver booking, and route optimisation, ensuring processes are streamlined for maximum efficiency.

  • Prepare and analyse performance reports related to KPIs, budgets, and forecasts, adjusting operations as necessary to meet objectives. 

  • Direct and delegate routes and work to IDCs and their teams, ensuring the most efficient process to meet key customer KPIs.

  • Uphold and promote a safe and secure environment for all employees and Delivery Partners, ensuring safety protocols are followed rigorously to prevent incidents and maintain operational continuity.

  • Collaborate with IDCs and Operations Support to oversee the delivery process and take proactive steps to ensure deliveries are on time and accurately completed, directly impacting customer satisfaction and operational performance.

  • Maintain accurate and thorough logbooks and reports to track daily activities and performance, providing valuable insights that help identify areas for improvement and maintain operational excellence.

  • Develop and nurture positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration that drives the team toward achieving operational goals.

  • Lead by example, offering ongoing coaching and support to team members, empowering them to meet and exceed performance targets while contributing to a high-performing team culture.

  • Implement targeted training and action plans when needed, ensuring the team is always equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to adapt to changes and meet evolving operational demands.

  • Ensure a professional and customer-focused environment is always maintained, striving to exceed expectations and contribute to an exceptional service experience both internally and externally.

Key Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in a leadership position, preferably in a fast-paced environment.

  • Previous experience in the transportation and freight industry is preferred.

  • Collaborative and professional work style, with a strong focus on team engagement and hands-on support.

  • Passionate about coaching and development, building team capability and supporting long-term growth and success.

  • Customer-focused mindset, committed to delivering positive experiences and building lasting relationships.

  • Strong workflow management and prioritisation, ensuring deadlines are consistently met while adapting to shifting priorities and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of safety and compliance practices, ensuring adherence to standards, mitigating risks, and promoting a safe, compliant work environment.
