**Banquets Operation Manager**

Out team is growing and we are looking for an experienced Banquets Operations Manager to join our team. In this newly created position the successful person will report to the Food and Beverage Manager and will be responsible for the effective management of all hotel banquets, functions and events. You will also be required to work in other food and beverage outlets as required.

The successful person will utilise their management skills and knowledge of hotel operations to:

- Ensure that work areas, equipment and sections are kept clean at all times.
- Make necessary checks needed for events or functions to ensure higest standards are met
- Assists to ensure that Conference and Events storage areas are neat and organised.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings to employees on preparation, service and menu.
- Leads the Food and Beverage Service employees in the performance of their duties and ensures this is in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Oversees the punctuality and appearance of all Food and Beverage employees, making sure that they wear the correct uniform and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, according to the hotel and department’s grooming standards.
- Develop the skills and effectiveness of all Food and Beverage Service employees through the appropriate training, coaching, and/or mentoring.
- Encourage employees to be creative and innovative, challenging and recognising them for their contribution to the success of the operation.
- Ensure that employees have a complete understanding of and adhere to employee rules and regulations.
- Ensure that employees follow all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to fire and hazard safety, and security.
- Attend Food & Beverage meetings and ensure given tasks are completed by due date
