**Conference Sales Manager**
The Hotel Grand Chancellor Adelaide has an amazing opportunity for a Conference Sales Manager to join our hotel. We are currently going through some exciting changes and seeking a highly motivated and personable individual to manage all aspects of the Conference Sales operations including, the selling of all food and beverage functions, conferences and banquets, to achieve pre-determined revenue targets.
The Conference Sales Manager will utilise their management skills and knowledge of hotel operations, to lead the Conference Sales team through a variety of sales strategies, tactics, and actions, to achieve revenue targets.
**This position is responsible for building a reputation of providing excellent service along with, but not limited to the following**:
- Negotiate terms pertinent to the sale of conference services
- Conduct site inspections and tours
- Maintain a regular pattern of sales calls and solicits business and follow up on referrals and potential sales leads
- Liaise with Executive Chef and Banquets Operations Manager, keeping lines of communication open between all Food and Beverage departments of the hotel
- Audit operating standards and procedures to ensure they comply with company standards, and where necessary develop and implement new procedures to improve and or reduce potential risk to the business
- Maintains complete and supported records of all Conference Sales Agreements, Contracts and Quotations for the Hotel
- Establishes an efficient trace file to ensure that all business booked is properly tracked
- Submits Sales report to General Manager in a timely manner
- Constantly monitors and evaluates local, national and international market trends, and the competitor hotels’ sales initiatives, in order to make sure the hotel’s sales remain competitive and cutting edge
- Through hands-on management, supervises Conference Sales employees in the performance of their duties and ensures this is in accordance with policies and procedures
- Develops the skills and effectiveness of all Conference Sales employees through the appropriate training, coaching, and/or mentoring.
This position is being offered on full time permanent basis, you will be required to work Monday to Friday with some out of office hours.
