Business Support Coordinator

The Business and Operational Support directorate is responsible for providing Sport and Recreation with business services, systems management and executive correspondence coordination across a broad range of functions to support Sport and Recreation outcomes, including: - financial, business advisory, human resource;
- non-financial governance and performance reporting;
- bespoke S&R IT systems development and administration;
- delivery support for Emerging Athletes Pathways (EAP);
- ministerial and executive documentation; development of event and trip brief material;
- grants administration, data management and reporting.In this role you will: - Support internal stakeholders through providing operational advice/information to help the Sport and Recreation Division achieve business outcomes in compliance with policies, procedures and directives with a focus on human resource practices and needs. Provide advice and contribute to the assurance of public servant recruitment and contingent labour procurement, by verifying these are undertaken in accordance with departmental governance requirements. Lead operational processing activities in compliance with policy and procedures - including grants administration, financial systems and human resources. Undertake the review of operational systems, services and processes to achieve continuous improvements in line with best practice standards. Contribute to or lead development of briefs and correspondence for senior management approval. Work collaboratively, displaying a high level of initiative to identify and propose solutions to operational risks and issues. Analyse and present information/data to deliver timely, useful and meaningful operational reports. Help achieve business outcomes through effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders. Contribute to a workplace culture based on values and behaviours which maintain a positive work environment that is safe, healthy, diverse, respectful and inclusive.This role reports to the Manager, Business Management.EligibilityTo be eligible for employment to this role you must possess: Citizenship/Visa Requirements You must be an Australian citizen, have permanent residency status or a visa permitting you to work in Australia. If you are not an Australian citizen you will need to provide evidence of your residency status or visa, with your right to work (including any conditions / restrictions).
