Business Coordinator

The role
Reporting to the Business Manager, Business Services, Governance and Engagement you will be responsible for liaising and respresenting senior managements in the coordination and planning of the budget build and forecast. You will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining administrative systems and processes to support the functions of the branch and the division and ensuring that the business functions operate consistently and effectively enabling strategic objectives and legislative obligations are met.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for coordinating with senior business staff with monthly and quartlerly reporting processes, collating reports, analysing financial transactions and reviewing general ledger accounts.
The successful person
To be successful in the role, you will have highly developed experience, skills and knowledge of departmental budgetary and human resource processes and reporting requirements and the ability to extract, collate and interpret information and to prepare and present diverse business reports using data.
In addition to this, you will have Demonstrated knowledge and experience in generating reports using Queensland Health Information Systems for decision making, ability to resolve problems and work autonomously to achieve organisational goals.

The Office of the Director-General and Department of Health is responsible for managing the public health system in Queensland, including: regulating health services; monitoring, developing and deploying programs to improve the health of Queenslanders; coordinating health services through Hospital and Health Services and non-government organisations; providing ambulance services; and working with other state and national agencies on policies and programs to improve the health of Queenslanders.
The Business Services team has a close partnership and works in collaboration with each unit within the Office of the Director-General, Department of Health in the provision of expert Human Resource, Financial and Procurement advice in addition to the delivery of timely, customer focused administrative support.
The team provides an innovative approach to planning and coordinating the preparation of key monthly divisional reporting initiatives, annual budget build activities and performs various other significant governance tasks to ensure the compliance and ongoing efficiency of the Office of the Director-General.
