Formula for Success

As Technical Sales Specialist - Energy Storage Systems, you will play a crucial role in managing the end-to-end technical sales process for utility scale energy storage systems in Australia and New Zealand. This involves developing the sales pipeline for battery energy storage systems (BESS) in the region, overseeing the process from initial contact to project delivery and handover.

You will:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor agreed sales strategies, including pricing implementation, and provide clear strategic direction to the sales organization.
  • Support the establishment of long-term relationships with key accounts and market influencers to understand customer needs and strategic interests.
  • Analyze client requirements to develop tailored solutions and assist with quotations and feasibility studies.
  • Manage relations with EPCs, equipment suppliers, and other associates throughout all sales stages until contract effectiveness.
  • Work collaboratively with peers in other regions to share best practices, learnings, solve problems, and devise new initiatives and improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Your success in this role depends on your background in technical and/or marketing & sales, particularly in engineering and construction management within the power generation market. Familiarity with working alongside utilities, project developers, and EPCs in the energy industry is highly valuable. You should be an effective communicator able to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels, providing meaningful insights and recommendations.

You will:

  • Hold a degree in engineering or a similar technical discipline; electrical engineering experience is highly preferred.
  • Possess strong technology expertise in renewable energy.
  • Be able to communicate complex technical topics across functions and regions.
  • Clearly present suggestions and ideas to internal and external parties.
