Maintenance Planner Role

We are seeking a skilled planning professional to join our team as a Maintenance Planner.

  • The role involves planning within the processing department, working closely with maintenance supervisors and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy of planned work orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster strong working relationships with maintenance teams and other departments to facilitate efficient completion of works.
  • Utilize SAP Fiori to produce accurate and fully resourced plans/schedules to enable safe completion of works by the maintenance teams.
  • Liaise with maintenance supervisors, tradespersons, and other department stakeholders to capture all details and requirements for planned work orders.
  • Schedule and print weekly work orders for fixed plant, Light vehicle, and operations departments.
  • Liaise with department managers to maintain a 12-month fixed plant shut down calendar, plan and fully resource shutdowns at agreed intervals, and assemble shutdown work packs accordingly.
  • Chair weekly and shutdown planning meetings.
  • Maintain constant improvement of SAP Fiori master data.
  • Utilize Excel planning tools to aid planning efficiency.
  • Maintain shared planning Microsoft outlook inbox to ensure all communications are considered, actioned, and filed.
  • As one of the Registered plant nominees, maintain inspections, records, and action repairs for all registered, non-registered (Duty of care), and itinerant plant in the processing area.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Requirements:

  • Achieve compliance with safety and environmental considerations and company policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate proactive safety practices by considering human and environmental factors when planning and scheduling works.
  • Have a strong commitment to safe working practices.
  • Foster positive re-enforcement and communication of all safety-related requirements.
  • Ensure full compliance with Company SH&E policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to reducing frequency of injuries or incidents within the area of responsibility.
  • Play an active role in safety and toolbox meetings.

Experience & Other Requirements:

  • Possess minimum 5 years relevant experience in the mining industry.
  • Hold minimum 2 years as a Maintenance Planner in a fixed plant environment, preferably gold process plant.
  • Display computer literacy - Microsoft Word/Excel, Project, and SAP GUI or Fiori.
  • Exhibit good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to maintain or exceed best industry practice in Work Management tasks.
  • Show flexibility to adapt to improved Asset Management procedures and practices.
  • Be aware of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
  • Prior experience working on gold processing plants is desirable.
