Job Overview:

We're seeking a Senior Cost Planning Specialist to join our team. This role will involve managing multiple projects with varying complexity levels, understanding and managing relationships between time, cost, risk, change, reporting, and scope.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing services as required by clients. Responsibilities include tailoring cost control approaches, implementing and administering cost control systems, working with integrated project teams, and developing project cost breakdown structures.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Tailor cost control approaches to meet client needs and align with best practice.
  • Implement, administer, and maintain cost control systems and procedures to track project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts.
  • Work with integrated project teams to establish a robust performance measurement baseline and support the change control process.
  • Develop project cost breakdown structures, align time phasing of budgets against work breakdown structures, and accurately track and control actual costs.

Requirements:

  • Professional experience specialising in Cost Engineering/Control in one or more sectors across the whole project lifecycle.
  • Detailed understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM), progress reporting, forecasting, and performance reporting and analysis.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership behaviours, influence, manage, motivate, coach, and develop a team.
