Financial Services Payroll Specialist

Salary Range
The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Description
- Payroll Management: Process payroll monthly in compliance with internal procedures and legislative requirements.
- Reporting and Compliance: Manage payroll-related reporting, including leave reconciliation, payroll tax and year-end reporting.
- Financial Reporting: Support financial reporting, including staff budget preparation, payroll-related invoicing and audit queries.
- System Implementation: Key point of contact for our Tech team, for the end-to-end management of the Dayforce payroll system implementation.
- Compliance and Advisory: Assist with payroll compliance across multiple states, covering WorkCover and payroll tax obligations.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Respond to payroll queries from internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or commerce.
- Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience, with payroll processing experience essential.
- Experience with payroll system implementations, ideally Dayforce or Preceda.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency with Xero or other cloud-based accounting systems.
- IT proficiency, particularly in Excel for managing payroll data.
