About the Role

Mutual Trust is seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing and delivering key payroll functions, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and continuous improvement of payroll systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process monthly payroll in accordance with internal procedures and legislation.
  • Manage payroll-related reporting, including leave reconciliation, payroll tax, and year-end reporting.
  • Support financial reporting, including staff budget preparation, payroll-related invoicing, and audit queries.
  • Implement and manage the Dayforce payroll system, working closely with the Finance and People & Culture teams.
  • Ensure payroll compliance across multiple states, covering WorkCover and payroll tax obligations.
  • Respond to payroll queries from internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or commerce.
  • Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience, with payroll processing experience essential.
  • Experience with payroll system implementations, ideally Dayforce or Preceda.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency with Xero or other cloud-based accounting systems.
  • IT proficiency, particularly in Excel for managing payroll data.

Estimated Salary

$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
