About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Technical Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership group, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our technical services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a high-performing team of technical specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure they meet their full potential.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and technical interface to deliver exceptional service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring that our technical skill levels and resources are adequate to meet our commitments.
  • Oversee the planning and control of technical services, allocating resources and scheduling to meet demanding service delivery requirements.
  • Analyze business issues and develop plans to address them, monitoring and controlling issues to minimize impact.
  • Ensure the effective and efficient delivery of technical services, striving for continuous improvement and impeccable service quality.
  • Foster a culture of professionalism and specialization, focusing on core services and encouraging skills growth, process standardization, and knowledge sharing.
  • Maintain adherence to strategic toolsets, promoting improved deployment and usage.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, technical expertise, and strong communication abilities. You will be responsible for maintaining and growing the technical skill levels of your team, parallel growth in soft skills, and awareness and conformance to relevant standards.

You will also be required to:

  • Coach and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Complete all aspects of the Performance Management process.
  • Build relationships with internal peers, stakeholders, and customers as appropriate.
  • Recognize and communicate risks to relevant channels, proposing solutions to address problems.
  • Regularly review service issues and exceptions, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Encourage best practices across the team, documenting and sharing knowledge with others.

Estimated Salary: AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
