About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Hardship Resolution Specialist to join our team at Lotus People. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to make a real impact on customers' lives while expanding their expertise in the dynamic financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage hardship accounts, proactively working to resolve issues promptly and cost-effectively.
  • Respond to requests for assistance from clients experiencing financial difficulties, and offer tailored financial solutions that meet their needs.
  • Assess hardship applications, and work with both borrowers and key stakeholders to find viable solutions.
  • Ensure that hardship applications and recovery actions are carried out within ASIC Debt Collections Guidelines.
  • Identify potential risks early and implement appropriate loss mitigation strategies.
  • Liaise directly with borrowers, panel solicitors, valuers, mortgage insurers, and Originators/Introducers to resolve cases effectively.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 2 + years in collections/financial hardship experience with exposure to mortgage collections and legal recovery processes.
  • Experience with security loan facilities, MIP processes, and mortgage-related legal proceedings.
  • In-depth understanding of Consumer Credit Code, Privacy Act, and relevant recovery legislation across Australian states.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this role is between $70,000-$100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
