Job Description


This innovative organisation seeks an experienced Financial Hardship Professional to join their team. As a key member of the Hardship Team, you will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating customers' financial hardship requests, ensuring timely resolutions and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.



Key Responsibilities



  • Evaluate customer hardship requests to determine eligibility for assistance programs or payment adjustments;
  • Communicate empathetically with customers experiencing financial difficulties, providing guidance and support throughout the hardship process;
  • Work closely with customers to create individualised repayment plans that align with their financial capabilities and the company's policies;
  • Liaise with other departments, such as collections and customer service, to ensure seamless case management;
  • Ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations, including privacy laws and hardship guidelines, to protect customers' rights.


Requirements


To succeed in this role, you must possess:



  • A minimum of 6-12 months experience in a dedicated hardship role within the financial services sector;
  • An understanding of NCC and Section 72 for hardship;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail;
  • A patient and empathetic nature, with the ability to understand and navigate complex financial situations.
