About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Consultant - Implementation Services to join our team at 2901 Charles River Development Inc Australia Branch. As a key member of our Implementation Services team, you will be responsible for leading or co-managing implementation projects for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or co-manage implementation projects for CRD
  • Provide a single point of contact for clients
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Communicate project status and progress to clients and stakeholders
  • Interpret workflow analysis documents and convert them into specifications for CR IMS configuration
  • Provide guidance to clients on best practice implementations and efficient workflow configuration
  • Undertake daily execution of project plan steps
  • Ensure client needs are understood and documented
  • Provide proactive leadership in client utilization of CRD products and services
  • Facilitate conference calls and meetings with other consultants and product experts
  • Communicate pertinent information on upgrades and major releases
  • Manage training and consulting resource requests
  • Monitor and assist with issue escalation process
  • Respond to additional product requests
  • Manage coordination of work undertaken by CRD representatives in other locations
  • Maintain awareness of industry changes and trends

Requirements

  • Experience managing large projects or multiple smaller projects
  • Extensive Front Office experience (order management, dealing with Fund Managers/Traders)
  • Applications experience with Charles River Trading System/Compliance Master or Equivalent (competitor)
  • Excellent market instrument knowledge - Fixed Income/derivatives etc.
  • Some technical knowledge, ideally SQL
  • Experience of doing a full life cycle implementation is essential
  • Experience dealing with users or clients from either a technical or business area
  • Comfortable making presentations covering business, technical or sales
  • Third level qualification ideally a Technical Bachelors Degree
  • Travel will be required – may be >50% per calendar year
  • Flexibility with schedule and ability to work beyond regular business hours

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from a leading university or college in Finance, Business/Mathematical Finance, Economics or Computer Science
  • An advanced degree or industry certification such as the CFA is a strong plus
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of progressively responsible experience in the Financial / Software Services industry (Financial market information systems background preferred)
