About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and influential Principal Sustainability Consultant to lead our team and drive the future direction of ESD policy. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for supporting the roll-out of new services, managing existing consulting teams, and fostering a fun and collaborative culture within your teams and the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Residential and Commercial consulting teams with a focus on exceptional service delivery and project profitability
  • Support the roll-out of new services, such as Green Star, NABERS, WELL, Passive House, Daylight and Solar access studies or Building Services Engineering
  • Influence the future direction of ESD policy
  • Manage and present to clients and stakeholders at all levels
  • Develop opportunities for new business
  • Assess and report on business risks and opportunities
  • Ensure clients receive meaningful reports
  • Manage project and portfolio budgets and workflows
  • Lead and mentor the consultancy teams
  • Establish, implement and maintain processes and procedures to ensure an exceptional client experience

Requirements

  • Strategic thinker with 10+ years experience in building design or construction
  • Demonstrated experience in business development and tendering
  • Growth mindset to grow and scale the business to the next level
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management and departmental budgets
  • Proven track record of driving sales, profitability and service improvement
  • Experience in managing design or consulting teams in the construction industry
  • Experience in technical design documentation and reporting
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and encouraging continual professional growth
  • Experience quoting projects and coordinating workflow
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written skills and ability to deliver engaging presentations
  • Highly organised and motivated with a can-do attitude
