Job Title: Principal Hydraulics Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Hydraulics Engineer to join our Melbourne Buildings & Places team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading hydraulic engineering projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineers, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead hydraulic engineering projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineers to deliver high-quality results.
  • Develop and implement hydraulic systems, ensuring compliance with Australian standards and codes.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance our services.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in hydraulic engineering, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a TAFE qualification or engineering degree, alongside RPEQ registration.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant industry software, such as Revit.
  • Australian citizenship or the ability to obtain it is highly preferred.
