We are seeking a Senior Grid Sales Director Australia to lead our team and drive growth in the region.

About the Role

As a key member of our Grid Technologies Sales Asia Pacific Management Team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing country sales strategies to increase top and bottom-line targets. Your focus will be on profitable growth, improving market exploitation, and increasing market share with various customers and channels.

This highly visible and dynamic role requires strong leadership skills, business acumen, and a proven track record in people management. You will actively contribute to our GT's APAC Sales Pathway, play a key role in developing and implementing country sales strategy, and coordinate/align with different Execution Units, Functions of Grid Technologies, as well as GT Asia Pacific Regional Management team, SE Australia Country Management, and Hub Sales.

In this role, you will:

  • Define, develop, and ensure implementation of country sales strategy for Grid Technologies Sales Australia to increase top and bottom-line targets.
  • Take an active role by advocating for the Grid Technologies' interest, showing long-term commitment to increase and secure customer satisfaction out of developing opportunities into sustainable projects.
  • Investigate and evaluate specific business opportunities for products/services by analyzing mid-term investments of customers in the Australia market.
  • Drive and monitor key market development programs, vertical sales development, portfolio pushes, and pricing enhancements.
  • Evaluate synergies in collaboration within GT execution units and across Siemens Energy Business Areas to ensure effective sales setup.
  • Guarantee flawless execution of orders, including coordination between factories, other Siemens Energy BUs, external suppliers, and remaining onshore scope.
  • Lead and develop the workforce, ensuring maximum productivity and effectiveness, and enable a high-performance culture of business excellence and continuous improvement.

You will be based in Sydney, Australia, and report to the Head of Grid Technologies Sales for the Region Asia Pacific.

What You Bring

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Master or equivalent experience in Engineering or Business Administration.
  • Excellent sales experience/knowledge of common technologies related to Grid Technologies equipment such as Power Transformers, Distribution Transformers, and/or AIS/GIS, and a good understanding of the Grid Technologies market.
  • Proven experience of at least 10 years in business management, project management, consulting, finance, marketing, or sales.
  • Leadership experience and a proven track record in people management.
  • Proven capabilities in motivating change and building sustainable teams.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills at all organizational levels.
  • A strong set of personal skills that support building a network, developing people, culture, and organization combined with proactiveness, innovation, and partnership.
  • Eagerness to consistently meet and exceed commitments/objectives while taking ownership of complex challenges.
  • Excellent business insight and a solid entrepreneurial, hands-on profile.
  • An EHS mentality is part of your values.
