Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our Grid Solutions Australia team, driving business growth and strategy in the Pacific region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead business opportunities for HVDC, FACTS, Offshore Wind Systems, and Substations in the Australian market.
  • Position the business as a strategic partner with major customers, fostering customer loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Implement business development activities, staying informed about competitor positions and strategies to maintain market share and identify business needs, market potential, and innovative strategies for long-term success.
  • Define, develop, and ensure implementation of global and regional growth strategies for Grid Solutions in Australia, aiming to increase top and bottom-line targets.
  • Ensure effective operational setup, capitalizing synergies in collaboration with Grid Technology execution units and across Siemens Energy Business Areas.
  • Lead and develop the workforce, ensuring maximum productivity and effectiveness, and fostering a high-performance culture of business excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate a 'safety first' approach, living the Zero Harm culture, and thinking and working safely in line with organization and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or Business Administration.
  • Technical knowledge and business operation experience/knowledge of common technologies related to Grid Solutions, such as HVDC, FACTS, Offshore Wind Systems, and Substations.
  • Proven experience of at least 10 years in business management, project management, consulting, finance, marketing, or sales.
  • Leadership experience and proven track record in people management.
  • Proven capabilities in driving change and building sustainable teams.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills at all organizational levels.
  • Strong set of personal skills that support building a network, developing people, culture, and organization, combined with proactiveness, innovation, and partnership.
  • Eagerness to consistently meet and exceed commitments/objectives while taking ownership of complex challenges.
  • Excellent business insight and a solid entrepreneurial, hands-on profile.
  • EHS mindset as part of your values.
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally to support business needs and customer requirements.
