  • As the Head of Grid Solutions, Australia, you will be responsible for leading the Grid Solutions team in Australia to achieve business targets and drive profitable growth.
  • This role will involve developing and executing business opportunities for HVDC, FACTS, Offshore Wind Systems, and Substations in the Australian market.
  • You will position the business as a strategic partner with major customers, developing customer loyalty and satisfaction.
  • This position requires a strong understanding of competitor positions and strategies to develop and maintain market share.
  • The successful candidate will ensure effective operational setup, capitalizing synergies in collaboration with Grid Technology execution units and across Siemens Energy Business Areas.
  • You will lead and develop the workforce, ensuring maximum productivity and effectiveness, and enable a high-performance culture of business excellence and continuous improvement.
  • This role requires a strong safety-first approach and living the Zero Harm culture, thinking and working safely in line with organization and regulatory requirements.


Requirements

  • Master or equivalent experience in Engineering or Business Administration
  • Technical knowledge and business operation experience/knowledge of common technologies related to Grid Solutions such as HVDC, FACTS, Offshore Wind Systems, Substations
  • Proven experience of at least 10 years in business management, project management, consulting, finance, marketing, or sales
  • Leadership experience and proven track record in people management
  • Proven capabilities in driving change and building sustainable teams
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills at all organizational levels
  • Strong set of personal skills that support building a network, developing people, culture, and organization combined with proactiveness, innovation, and partnership
  • Eagerness to consistently meet and exceed commitments/objectives while taking ownership of complex challenges
  • Excellent business insight and a solid entrepreneurial, hands-on profile
  • EHS mindset is part of your values
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally to support the needs of the business and our customers
