About the Role


Siemens Energy is seeking a highly experienced individual to lead our Grid Solutions team in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, improving market exploitation, and increasing market share.



About the Team


Our Grid Technology business area enables a reliable, sustainable, and digital grid. The power grid is the backbone of the energy transition. Siemens Energy offers a leading portfolio and solutions in HVDC transmission, grid stabilization and storage, high voltage switchgears and transformers, and digital grid technology.



Responsibilities



  • Develop and lead business opportunities for HVDC, FACTS, Offshore Wind Systems, and Substations in the Australian market.
  • Position the business as a strategic partner with major customers, developing customer loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Instigate and manage business development activities, fully understanding competitor positions and strategy.
  • Define, develop, and ensure implementation of Global & Regional growth strategy for Grid Solutions in Australia.
  • Ensure effective operational setup, capitalizing synergies in collaboration within Grid Technology execution units and across Siemens Energy Business Areas.
  • Lead and develop the workforce, ensuring maximum productivity and effectiveness.
  • Demonstrate a 'safety first' approach and live the Zero Harm culture.


Requirements



  • Master or equivalent experience in Engineering or Business Administration.
  • Technical knowledge and business operation experience / knowledge of common technologies related to Grid Solutions.
  • Proven experience of at least 10 years in business management, project management, consulting, finance, marketing, or sales.
  • Leadership experience and proven track record in people management.
  • Proven capabilities in driving change and building sustainable teams.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills at all organizational levels.
  • Strong set of personal skills that support building a network, developing people, culture and organization combined with proactiveness, innovation and partnership.
  • Eagerness to consistently meet and exceed commitments/ objectives while taking ownership of complex challenges.
  • Excellent business insight and a solid entrepreneurial, hands-on profile.
  • EHS mindset is part of your values.
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally as support the needs of the business and our customers.
