About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of our Hallett Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project, a key initiative in our clean energy transformation strategy.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will join us in the pre-FID stage and be accountable for the end-to-end execution and delivery of the project, ensuring excellence in planning, costing, scheduling, and governance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead a high-performing project team to deliver project milestones with unwavering focus on health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Establish and manage key contractor relationships, including understanding contractual agreements and contributing to procurement and contracting strategy.
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, regulators, government, community, and media.
  • Continuously monitor and manage project risks, taking appropriate mitigative actions and ensuring transparent reporting to the Project Steering Committee.
About You

We're looking for an experienced EPCM-style Project Director with a genuine passion for contributing to the clean energy transition. Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline, with additional qualifications in project management or business.
  • Extensive experience in engineering and construction project development and delivery in the energy sector or a related heavy industrial field, with previous experience in grid connection projects highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Previous experience in delivering large development projects underwritten with government contracts and involving external funding.
  • Outstanding commercial acumen and well-developed stakeholder management and relationship development skills.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $150,000 - $200,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and inclusive work environment.
