A Key Role in the Energy Transition

Siemens Energy is seeking a highly experienced leader to spearhead the implementation of the energy transition in Australia as Head of Grid Solutions. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Grid Solutions Asia Pacific & China, you will lead the Grid Solutions Australia team to achieve business targets and drive profitable growth.

As a key member of the Grid Technologies Asia Pacific Management Team, you will contribute significantly to the growth strategy and play a pivotal role in developing and implementing country sales strategies. This dynamic role will see you lead business development activities, analyzing customer investments in the Australian market, and positioning the business as a strategic partner with major customers.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Grid Solutions Australia team to achieve business targets and drive profitable growth.
  • Analyze customer investments in the Australian market and develop business opportunities for HVDC, FACTS, Offshore Wind Systems, and Substations.
  • Develop and implement country sales strategies to increase market share and improve market exploitation.
  • Contribute to the growth strategy of Grid Technology and play a key role in the development and implementation of the country sales strategy.
  • Lead and develop the workforce, ensuring maximum productivity and effectiveness, and enable a high-performance culture of business excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate a 'safety first' approach and live the Zero Harm culture.

Your Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or Business Administration.
  • Technical knowledge and business operation experience/knowledge of common technologies related to Grid Solutions such as HVDC, FACTS, Offshore Wind Systems, and Substations.
  • At least 10 years of experience in business management, project management, consulting, finance, marketing, or sales.
  • Leadership experience and a proven track record in people management.
  • Proven capabilities in driving change and building sustainable teams.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills at all organizational levels.
  • Strong set of personal skills that support building a network, developing people, culture, and organization combined with proactiveness, innovation, and partnership.
  • Eagerness to consistently meet and exceed commitments/objectives while taking ownership of complex challenges.
  • Excellent business insight and a solid entrepreneurial, hands-on profile.
  • EHS mindset is part of your values.
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally to support the needs of the business and our customers.
