About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional HR Manager to join our team at Canonical. As a Regional HR Manager, you will be responsible for leading and scaling our regional HR team, delivering precise and compliant HR operations, and partnering with senior leadership to drive business success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and scale Canonical's regional HR team, providing strategic guidance and direction to ensure the delivery of high-quality HR services.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's business objectives, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  • Partner with senior leadership to drive business success, providing expert advice on HR-related matters and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage and develop HR processes, including talent development, succession planning, performance assessments, onboarding, culture, and engagement initiatives.
  • Coach and advise people managers on employee relations issues, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, managers, and external partners.
  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity within the organization.
  • Design and implement new policies and programs to support business-critical HR-related projects.
  • Present at Canonical events to articulate the company's HR practices and strategies.
Requirements
  • Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university.
  • HR experience leading initiatives across regions within a technology business.
  • People management experience, with a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience in business partnering with senior stakeholders, with a strong understanding of HR practices and employment law.
  • A good balance between leading and executing, with the ability to be hands-on involved in daily HR routines.
  • Experience in working in a remote-first organization, with a strong understanding of virtual team management.
  • Able to leverage data to make informed decisions, with a strong analytical approach.
  • Fluent in business English (written and spoken).
  • Self-motivated, organized, accurate, confident, authentic, results-oriented, open-minded, enthusiastic, and energetic.
  • Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
