We are seeking an experienced Catering Production Manager to join our high-performance Melbourne Airport Flight Catering team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a large workforce to deliver exceptional outcomes through a focus on quality and consistency.

The successful candidate will have a proven background in leading a large team, with a strong focus on food safety and compliance. You will work closely with our Executive Chef and culinary professionals to produce freshly cooked and chilled food for our global customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor standards and consistency of all production activities, focusing on labour hours, wastage, and flight schedules.
  • Maintain a high-quality standard of production, ensuring compliance with health and safety, food safety (HACCP & CCP), and security requirements.
  • Diagnose and implement improvements in processes, collaborating with internal stakeholders to coordinate activities.
  • Provide direction and support to a team of up to 300 Catering Attendants, proactively coaching for high performance.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in leading a large team is essential.
  • Demonstrated success in working within an operations environment, with a strong focus on food safety and compliance.
  • Experience in managing more than 30 frontline staff, with excellent leadership skills and a strong commitment to food safety.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
