Head of Catering and Events Manager

The National Gallery of Victoria is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Head of Catering and Events Manager. This is a key role that will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all catering and events services within the gallery.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement catering and events strategies that align with the gallery's overall vision and goals.
- Manage and coordinate all catering and events services, including menu planning, event design, and logistics.
- Work closely with the senior management team to ensure that all catering and events services meet the highest standards of quality and excellence.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure that the gallery receives the best possible service and value.
- Manage and supervise a team of catering and events staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to perform their duties effectively.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the catering and events services, making recommendations for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in hospitality, events management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in catering and events management, preferably in a similar role.
- Proven track record of success in managing catering and events services, including menu planning, event design, and logistics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team of staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
