About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Catering Attendant to join our team at dnata catering. As a Catering Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of food and service to our airline customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Presentation: Prepare and present meals to the highest standards, adhering to our visual guides and presentation specifications.
  • Stock Management: Stock airline carts with dry store items, including equipment, packaged snacks, and beverages.
  • Wash Line Operations: Load and unload wash lines, ensuring all cutlery, crockery, and glassware are in perfect condition.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain compliance with food safety and HACCP guidelines, adhering to hygiene standards and cleaning schedules.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate and coordinate with team members to ensure delivery timelines are met.
Requirements
  • Numerical Skills: Possess sound numerical skills to accurately manage inventory and stock levels.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for prolonged periods, move, and lift items as required.
  • Shift Work: Willingness to work shift work across a 7-day roster.
  • Neat and Tidy Presentation: Maintain a neat and tidy appearance at all times.
  • Food Hygiene Knowledge: Sound knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP principles (desired but not essential).
  • Basic Knife Skills: Possess basic knife skills (desired but not essential).
  • Criminal History Check: Obtain a clear National Police Check as required by the Aviation Services industry.
  • Availability: Availability to work 38 hours/week as a full-time permanent position.
