Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Banquets Manager to join our team at Marriott Hotels. As a key member of our Food and Beverage department, you will be responsible for leading the Banquets team in the preparation, management, and execution of events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Banquets team in the planning and execution of events, ensuring seamless delivery and exceptional guest experience.
  • Collaborate with the Banquet Culinary team and Catering & Events Sales team to ensure events run smoothly and meet guest expectations.
  • Personally assist guests by delivering on our commitment to exceptional service and quality.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve event operations, increase efficiency, and enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Identify training opportunities and assist in training team members to ensure they meet Marriott's high standards.
  • Lead the team to achieve exceptional results, maintain a positive work culture, and promote a culture of excellence.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in event operations, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and guests.
