Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Banquets Manager to join our team at Tasmania. As a key member of our Food and Beverage team, you will be responsible for leading the Banquets team and ensuring the smooth execution of events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Banquets team in the preparation, management, and execution of events
  • Personally assist all guests by delivering exceptional service
  • Coordinate with the Banquet Culinary team and Catering & Events Sales team to ensure events run smoothly
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt and work well under pressure
  • A great understanding of financial controls and administrative responsibilities
  • Identify training opportunities and assist the Assistant Beverage & Food Manager in training Talent according to W standards
  • Lead the team to be their best every day and maintain a positive work culture

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations
  • Knowledge of financial controls and administrative responsibilities
  • Ability to identify training opportunities and develop training programs
