About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Associate, Capability Development.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking complex policy or project work to support capability development in the emergency management sector, inform policy directions, and conduct cross-government stakeholder management.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Support capability development in the emergency management sector
  • Inform policy directions
  • Conduct cross-government stakeholder management
  • Facilitate service delivery reforms or major initiatives
  • Provide well-researched and sound options by identifying emerging issues on which the Department can rely for effective decision making or delivery

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Eagerness to make a difference to the communities of NSW
  • Experience in developing and implementing service delivery reforms, strategic initiatives, or interagency projects with a focus on capability development
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications or equivalent, relevant professional experience, and training
  • Experience in leading and project managing complex, cross-agency projects
  • Solutions-focussed, able to work well under pressure, and proactively manage competing demands and changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and engage senior decision-makers with confidence
  • Experience in undertaking all aspects of the policy process – research, development, implementation review, and evaluation
