Capability Development Specialist

The Opportunity
At EML, we're committed to creating a positive impact on people's lives. As a Capability Development Specialist, you'll work with our diverse team in Newcastle and Sydney to help individuals achieve their full potential.
This role involves working with claims staff to demonstrate their competence and capability through learning requirements and assessment. You'll also contribute to the development of our EML frameworks to support team members in being their best selves.
This is a 12-month secondment position based in our Newcastle or Sydney office, with flexibility to work from home.
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare for, conduct, and document training delivery and assessment procedures.
- Maintain all records in a timely manner and in accordance with required policies and procedures.
- Participate in and contribute to validation and moderation.
- Use teaching and assessment methods that are fair, valid, current, and sufficient.
- Conduct and support training needs analysis with key stakeholders.
- Build and maintain internal and external relationships to facilitate the delivery of the strategy and objectives.
- Create and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, internal clients, and the management team by displaying our values and behaviours.
About You
- Experience working within the NSW workers compensation system is desirable.
- Successful track record in achieving business objectives.
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
- Strong analytical, evaluation, and problem-solving skills to deliver innovative solutions throughout the continuous improvement lifecycle.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational ability, including the use of effective time management and prioritisation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and drive to provide a high level of service to our customers.
- Experience working in a demanding, high volume, and deadline-driven environment.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite products, including intermediate to advanced skill level of MS Word and MS Excel.
