Drive Transformation in Emergency Management

We're seeking an experienced Capability Development Strategist to join our team at the Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC). As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for driving complex policy or project work to support capability development in the emergency management sector.

About the Role:
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a unique blend of skills and experience. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the development of policies and projects aimed at improving emergency management capabilities.
  • Informing policy directions through research and analysis.
  • Managing cross-government stakeholder relationships.
  • Facilitating service delivery reforms or major initiatives.
  • Providing well-researched options to inform effective decision-making.

Your Ideal Candidate:
To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess a strong background in capability development, strategic initiatives, or interagency projects. You should also have experience in leading complex projects, building relationships with stakeholders, and managing competing demands. A demonstrated ability to work under pressure and think critically is essential. Additionally, you'll need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a proven track record of achieving results in a fast-paced environment.

Salary:
The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, based on your location and level of experience.
