Infection Prevention SpecialistJob Title: Infection Prevention SpecialistOur organization is seeking a highly skilled Infection Prevention Specialist to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of infection prevention strategies across our healthcare facilities. This role requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, and a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention programs to ensure adherence to national standards and best practices.
  • Provide regular updates and education to healthcare staff and medical officers on infection prevention strategies and protocols.
  • Chair and coordinate infection control committees to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing among healthcare teams.
  • Conduct data collection, surveillance, and mandatory reporting to health authorities to inform infection prevention strategies.
  • Respond to infectious outbreaks and provide expert guidance on containment and mitigation efforts.
  • Audit compliance with infection control standards and recommend improvements for adherence.
  • Maintain and manage staff vaccination records and administer vaccinations as required.
  • Deliver infection control training and participate in staff orientation programs.
  • Support hospital accreditation and quality improvement initiatives by ensuring adherence to infection control standards.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Nursing, Healthcare, or related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Infection Prevention and Control or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in infection prevention and control.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of infection prevention and control principles, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
