Healthcare Infection Prevention Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to lead our Infection Prevention and Control Program.
About the Role- Develop, implement, and evaluate strategies to prevent infections across our healthcare facilities.
- Provide regular updates and education to clinical staff and Medical Officers on best practices in infection prevention.
- Chair and coordinate committees focused on infection control and antimicrobial stewardship.
- Collections data, conduct surveillance, and report to health authorities as required.
- Respond to infectious outbreaks and provide expert guidance to ensure effective management.
- Audit compliance with infection control standards and recommend improvements.
- Manage staff vaccination records and administer vaccinations as needed.
- Deliver training and participate in staff orientation programs to promote a culture of safety.
- Support hospital accreditation initiatives and contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts.
- Serve as a key resource and subject matter expert in infection prevention and control, fostering partnerships with Department Managers and the Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Coordinator.
- Collaborate with Department Managers on infection prevention and control matters, including KPI monitoring, policy development, auditing processes, and staff training and development.
- Engage with regional Infection Prevention and Control Committees to contribute to broader public health initiatives and stay informed on best practices.
