Lead Clinical Educator for Infection Prevention

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled and experienced clinical educator to lead our infection prevention initiatives. The successful candidate will have expertise in education, quality improvement, and safety in healthcare.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement educational strategies for infection prevention and control (IPAC) professionals.
  • Collaborate with the NSW Chief infection control professional /HAI advisor and IPAC/HAI team to provide specialist clinical and educational advice.
  • Manage the development, coordination, and implementation of educational programs for IPAC/HAI professionals.
  • Support the National Hand Hygiene Initiative (NHHI) and commitment to infection prevention and control training and education.
  • Ensure effective execution of strategies and solutions across complex areas.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in education and Infection Prevention and Control (credentialing or equivalent).
  • Extensive relevant clinical experience and hand hygiene auditor educator certified.
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge in the principles of quality improvement and safety in healthcare.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Expert experience and knowledge of IPAC and HAI principles in the context of quality and safety.
  2. Demonstrated experience with education of Standard 3 and Infection Prevention and Control including high-level personal protective equipment (PPE) training.
  3. Superior analytical skills and ability to develop succinct, high-quality written documents, reports, and verbal presentations for senior clinicians, executive-level managers, and external stakeholders.
