Leading Infection Prevention Specialist

The Director of Infection Prevention and Control provides strategic leadership to guide and support the team across the district. This position reports to the organization's senior management to coordinate and facilitate an effective infection prevention and control program.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategies to promote best practice in infection prevention and control.
- Collaborate with clinicians and department managers to drive quality improvement initiatives.
- Project manage and meet deadlines, ensuring a commitment to quality improvement in line with industry standards.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of infection prevention and control from a clinical and management perspective.
- Current Nursing Registration with the relevant healthcare authority.
- Tertiary qualification (Masters level) relevant to the specialty discipline.
- Substantial experience in infection prevention and control in an acute tertiary healthcare environment.
