Job Description

BigCommerce is a leading e-commerce platform that empowers merchants to sell more at every stage of growth. We're seeking a highly skilled Sales Development Representative to join our team and help us achieve our mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with mid-market and enterprise prospects to identify potential customers for BigCommerce's platform
  • Use modern qualification methodologies to qualify sales-qualified leads (SQLs) and schedule discovery meetings with account executives and key decision-makers
  • Source sales-accepted leads (SALs) for our mid-market and enterprise team
  • Prospect and conduct account research to acquire accurate contact information for target accounts
  • Develop tailored messaging to engage key decision-makers and use best-in-class tools to efficiently engage target accounts
  • Work closely with account executives to learn the discovery process and develop skills to consistently achieve quotas and objectives
Requirements:
  • 6+ months of experience prospecting or selling SaaS solutions, preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced inside sales environment
  • Understanding of SaaS and e-commerce technologies, preferably with experience in sales methodologies and solution selling
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners
  • Ability to collect and deliver information in an organized and clear fashion, with a willingness to learn about prospective merchants' businesses
  • Developing business acumen, with a passion for mid-market business customers, service, and satisfaction
  • Excellent persuasion and negotiation skills, with strong presentation, client relationship, and communication skills
