About the Role

The Business Development Marketing Executive will be responsible for leading, developing, and overseeing the execution of marketing activities in line with our strategy. This role focuses on crafting and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness and drive customer engagement across various channels, including retail, online, and concession.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure effective execution of campaigns, optimize marketing spend, and conduct analysis to measure the impact of marketing initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop the Brand Marketing Strategy: Create a marketing strategy that aligns with our company's overall strategy, including PR, advertising, branding, email, digital, and social media.
  • Marketing Activity Planning: Develop marketing activity plans and budgets to deliver the brand strategy and oversee implementation in Australasia across retail, online, and concession.
  • Align Marketing Spend: Align and manage marketing spend against brand/marketing objectives and budgets.
  • Implement Marketing Plans: Implement approved marketing plans and ensure timely completion.
  • Manage Creative Briefings: Manage the creative briefing process and respond to briefs.
  • Manage Agency Relationships: Manage relationships with creative agencies, including regular reviews and contract negotiations.
  • Production Process Management: Manage the production process relating to digital, print, PR, and visual merchandising.
  • Team Management: Provide line management to the team, overseeing performance, development, and resource allocation to achieve departmental goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing
  • Extensive experience in a similar role and within a retail environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Excellent budget management skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external partners
  • Strong leadership and management skills with a focus on developing team members' capabilities and succession planning for future growth

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience
