As a Mental Injury Return to Work Specialist at Gallagher, you will be responsible for leading the recovery and return-to-work process for complex psychological claims within your team. You will use your expertise to identify and triage claims that are at risk of exceeding expected return-to-work timeframes and work closely with case managers to identify barriers in returning to work. Your goal will be to drive a return-to-work focus with injured workers and employers.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills in person-centered injury management, exceptional stakeholder communication, and leadership to support workers impacted by complex psychological injuries. Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing leadership as a key subject matter expert within your team relating to recovery and return to work
• Managing a small portfolio of complex high-risk injury claims, supporting injured workers and employers with their recovery and return to health
• Supporting senior case managers with regular case conferencing
• Identifying biopsychosocial risk factors leading to strategic recovery while achieving return-to-work goals
• Undertaking return-to-work visits and treater case conferences when required to support recovery and return-to-work outcomes
Your Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need: Workers Compensation scheme claims management experience, or significant RTW knowledge and experience, knowledge of physical and/or mental injury, excellent customer service skills and experience, time management, administrative and organisational skills, experience in leading people, teams or key initiatives, coaching and mentoring skills, and a tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline.
